Discovery Days

Discovery Days offers classes and tours about 4-H projects, careers, hobbies, community service and more! You can also share your talents in the Talent Show. Are you ready to dance? Are you ready for some Call Hall ice cream? Are you ready for some great speakers and Discovery Days Night Live and all the other possibilities in your future? Mark your calendars now for 2017 Discovery Days!

When: May 29 - June 1, 2018 (Registration will open on March 1, 2018)

Where: Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas

Who: Youth ages 13-18 years old as of January 1, 2018

Rock Springs Great NW Camp

From horseback riding. fishing and trap shooting to campfires, swimming and dancing, Rock Springs 4-H camp has many programs and much fun to offer! The camp consists of four days and three nights, with many events planned and many friends to meet. 

When: June 19 - June 22, 2018

Where: Rock Springs 4-H Center

Who: Youth ages 7-12 years old as of January 1, 2018

Are you interested in being a camp counselor? Please fill out a counselor application and return back to the Rawlins County Extension Office by April 24, 2017. Please see the counselor guidelines for more information on qualifications and specific duties. 



Participants will experience the feel of a conference, while enjoying the "camp" activities Rock Springs 4-H Center has to offer. Campference features workshops about opportunities in the 4-H program, becoming a leader, and activities to energize youth while learning healthy living skills and how to better interact with others. Participants will meet other youth from around the state of Kansas.

When: June 26 - June 29, 2018

Where: Rock Springs 4-H Center

Who: Youth ages 12-14 years old as of January 1, 2018

Northwest High Adventure Camp

Youth will have the opportunity to canoe down the Niobrara River which is considered one of the best canoeing rivers in the United States. After two half days of canoeing, youth will have an opportunity to participate in an outdoor adventure course that includes low ropes course, water slide, repelling tower, high ropes course, climbing wall, and a zip line. 

When: July 5 - July 8, 2017

Where: Canoeing down the Niobrara River

Who: Youth ages 13-18 years old as of May 15, 2017
