Discovery Days

Discovery Days offers classes and tours about 4-H projects, careers, hobbies, community service and more! You can also share your talents in the Talent Show. Are you ready to dance? Are you ready for some Call Hall ice cream? Are you ready for some great speakers and Discovery Days Night Live and all the other possibilities in your future? Rock Springs Great NW Camp

From horseback riding. fishing and trap shooting to campfires, swimming and dancing, Rock Springs 4-H camp has many programs and much fun to offer! The camp consists of four days and three nights, with many events planned and many friends to meet. 

When: Thursday, June 20 - Sunday, June 23, 2019

Where: Rock Springs 4-H Center

Who: Youth ages 7-12 years old as of January 1, 2019

Are you interested in being a camp counselor? Stop by the Rawlins County Extension Office to register by April 18, 2019. Please see the counselor guidelines for more information on qualifications and specific duties. 



Participants will experience the feel of a conference, while enjoying the "camp" activities Rock Springs 4-H Center has to offer. Campference features workshops about opportunities in the 4-H program, becoming a leader, and activities to energize youth while learning healthy living skills and how to better interact with others. Participants will meet other youth from around the state of Kansas.

When: Sunday, June 23 - Wednesday, June 26, 2019

Northwest High Adventure Camp

4-H Youth ages 13-18 (must be 13 by May 15, 2019). Would you like an opportunity to camp at a 10,000’ eleva'on Camp Site in the Colorado Rockies. Then the next morning have the opportunity to hike to the top of the Con'nental Divide! Then finish up your ac'on packed trip with a thrilling ride on a White Water Raft navigating the many Class III to Class IV Rapids on Clear Creek. Then the Northwest High Adventure Trip is for you. Adventurers will have the opportunity to meet youth their age from across the Northwest Area and share in many challenges and adventures.

Who: Youth ages 13-18 years old as of May 15, 2019
